独立游戏节组织方宣布，入围第16届独立游戏节主竞赛单元的游戏作品名单最终确定，这其中包括获得本游戏节最高奖提名的《史丹利寓言》和《饥荒》。

　　今年的独立游戏节颁奖礼将在3月19日拉开帷幕，它是2014年游戏开发者大会的一部分。本次颁奖礼的举办地设在旧金山的莫斯康会议中心。

　　所有主竞赛单元游戏都会在今年的游戏开发者大会上展示试玩版，对玩家而言更有意义的是，所有的这些入围游戏都会通过Steam发售。获得最高奖塞尤玛斯•麦克纳利大奖的开发者将会收获30,000美元奖金，之前赢得这个奖项的有《我的世界》和《超级食肉男孩》等。
